DEVELOPMENT
Developing a frame or bicycle component is often the most exciting phase of a new project! And at Young Lab Studio, we love it!
Children's cycling is our favorite playground. It's also the most demanding: every gram counts double when the bike weighs a third of the rider's weight.

Supporting a French children's bicycle brand in renewing its best-selling product, a unique children's bicycle in the world, by developing its evolution: reducing weight, improving its compatibility with the various components on the market, lowering production costs and improving its industrialization.
CERTIFICATION AND COMPLIANCE
Interpreting EN standard requires real expertise. Specifically, knowing how it applies, for which bicycle, and in which country. Furthermore, standards are constantly evolving, and each laboratory has its own specific procedures.
Getting a bicycle approved and certified is always a stressful experience. It's best not to go through it alone.
We intervene upstream, to audit a product before it undergoes testing. And downstream, to prepare samples and monitor EN laboratory tests.
We also develop specific, tailor-made machine tests to validate your products beyond current standards.

We are used to handling bicycle and push bike certifications according to EN 71, ISO EN 8098, ISO EN 4210 Y/C/M/R
SOURCING AND BOM
BOMs are the conductors of a range of bicycles. That's convenient, because we read about them morning, noon, and night!
If you are looking for a new assembly or frame factory, to reduce the cost of your complete bike or to find the differentiating innovative component, we can help you.
We can also develop a complete turnkey solution: open-book BOM, negotiated contract with a manufacturer/assembler. All you have to do is give your approval.
Here too, children's bikes are our specialty. The availability of dedicated components remains limited, and the requirements are specific. At Young Lab Studio, we know where to look!
Young Lab Approved!
In 2014 we designed the MINI CG, the first all-terrain children's push bike on the market compatible with disc brakes without modification. It features an integrated bottle opener, skateboard grips for the footrests, optimal geometry for children, and is, of course, EN 71 certified.
